In June, Peg and I flew into Sacremento, CA for a road trip to visit some places on our bucket list. After picking up the rental car and headed to the Sierra foothills to the southeast. Our first stop was the tiny gold rush town of Angels Camp in Caleveras County. Mark Twain based his short story "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County" on a story he claimed he heard at the Angels Hotel in 1865.
