Dive #1 Turtle Encounter

Conditions were favorable today for a night dive.  Winds were light and only slight rollers on the seas.  Dave Rufft and I headed out early to Conch Reef so that we could get a twilight dive in, then have some lunch while on our surface interval and waiting for darkness.

We were lucky enough to encounter a turtle on the 1st dive.  Visibility was sufficient to record a good video. We surfaced just as the sun was setting.

Dive #2 - Lobsters and Crabs

While waiting for darkness to settle in before dropping in again, we noticed frequent lighting off to the NW over Florida Bay.  I checked my weather radar and it appeared that the cell would pass to our north.  We dropped into the water minutes before darkness.  We saw quite a few lobster and crabs during the dive.  All the reef fish we saw just a hour earlier on dive #1 were no where to be seen.  I'm sure sure where they go after dark.  We do see sleeping parrotfish.
